Now and Then

Rev 12:3, And there appeared another sign in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Rev 13:1, And I stood upon the sand of the sea and I saw a wild beast coming up [ascending] out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads names of blasphemy.

Do you see the difference?

It is the crowns, once upon the seven heads but will be upon the ten horns in time to come.

Rev 12:3 is almost history, albeit still current but fading as we approach the time of the ten kings, that momentous transfer of power as the end approaches from accepted current power structures to the new bestial system that is in outright rebellion against the lamb of God but which shall only fulfill the Lord’s purposes against the great harlot, mystery, babylon the great, in it’s unwitting but appointed rage against her. Such are the times we live in. It is the classic Lord’s fighting tactic – use your  enemies to defeat your enemies. Such is the Lord’s knowledge of man.

Rev 13:1 is connected to the 153 fish of John’s gospel and the 276 survivors of the shipwreck in the book of acts. They all share the fact that they “come out of the sea”.

(Vernon Jenkins has very worth while comments upon this on his website).

We must consider. We who believe are  the 153 fish, our saved status in the heavenly realms.

What of the shipwreck?  What is this shipwreck? Is it not Israel who failed their commission? They have miraculously survived just as the scripture indicates they would and none is lost.

What of the the beast coming out of the sea. The Damned.

So, three congregations appear out of the sea:-

The Damned
