Noah was shut in the Ark up 370 days.
4, For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I blot out from off the face of the ground.”
5, And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
6, And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7, And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8, Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9, There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, according as God had commanded Noah.
10, And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11, In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great waters of the abyss broken up, and the floodgates of heaven were opened.
12, And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13, In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14, They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every kind.
15, And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16, And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God [the Creator] had commanded him: and the LORD [Noah’s Covenant-God] shut him in.
14, And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
15, And God [the Creator ] spake unto Noah, saying,
16, ” Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
17, Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.”
18, And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him:
19, Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
Appears Noah had a week, seven days, to get ready. The actual time Noah spent shut in the Ark started on the 17th day of the second month and lasted until the 27th day of the second month of the following year, 370 days based on a 360 day calendar.
Five Months (150 days):-
Genesis chapter 8:-
3, And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
4, And the ark rested [Saturday, the Sabbath Day] in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
It’s now 5 (30 day) months on from the time when Noah was shut up in the Ark. That’s 150 days. These 150 days are explicitly stated in Genesis 8:3
Genesis 8:3-4 states a gap of five months exactly (the seventeeth day of the month of both the second and the seventh month) and this is clearly stated to be 150 days. This is very important chronology. Pay attention.
So, 150 days = five 30 day months on our Noachic calendar.
Now let’s turn to the Gospel of Luke and the Revelation.
Luk 1:24, And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and completely secluded herself five months, saying that; 25, Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein He looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
Rev 9:4, And it was commanded them in order that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but … those men which have not the seal of God upon their foreheads.
Rev 9:5, And to them it was given in order that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when it striketh a man.
Rev 9:10, And they have tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.
- After five months the Ark comes to rest.
- Five months seclusion for the mother of the prophet who would prepare the way of the Lord who would bring in the powers of the age to come for believers.
- Five months of torture for those without the seal of God upon their foreheads.
In a previous post we have seen how 2300 evenings and mornings is 1150 days. 1335 days (Daniel chapter 12) – 1150 days is 185 days or 370 evenings and mornings.
185 days – 150 days is 35 days or 70 evenings and mornings. Keep that in mind.
